Over 40 years of tennis coaching
Michel was born in 1958 and obtained his KNLTB A-diploma in June 1980. He then spent four months in Florida (USA), where he completed a course at the Tennis University of the internationally renowned coach Dennis van der Meer on Hilton Head Island, earning the American coaching diploma. He then secured a position as assistant coach in the famous training camp of Harry Hopman, the Godfather of modern tennis training.
In November 2004, Michel completed a one-month internship at the Tennis Academy of Emilio Sanchez and Sergio Casal in Barcelona, earning the internationally recognised RPT diploma.
Since 1 April 2001 he has been club trainer of Tennisclub Joy Jaagpad in Amsterdam.
